If you cancel your Direct Debit with your bank and you don't tell us, we will still attempt to claim the payment amount due.
Also, if your Direct Debit was due within 5 working days then the process to request the funds from your bank will have already started, which means we have probably already requested the funds from your bank.
Was your Direct Debit returned unpaid? -
We will still attempt to claim the payment due if you haven't told us you have cancelled the Direct Debit. When your bank receives the request for payment they will reject it as we no longer have permission to take the funds. This results in a returned or unpaid Direct Debit and you will be charged a fee. You may also lose any promotional rates.
