We identified an issue with the processing of payments via the Virgin Money Credit Card app from Wednesday 19th May 2021. The payment will have left your current account but it has been delayed reaching your credit card account. Don’t worry, we have a record of the payment and we’re working to resolve the problem and update credit card accounts as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, until your payment has been credited to your credit card, you will see that your credit card balance has not reduced and your available balance hasn’t increased. Sorry for any inconvenience, we know what the problem is and will put measures in place to prevent this happening again.

Is your payment due, or has the payment due date passed? – We can see the date you made a payment. If your minimum monthly payment was due and the payment hasn’t been applied to your account yet, you won’t be charged any fees or incur interest as a result of this issue as it was out of your control.

We will not report any late payments that reach your account after your payment due date as a result of this issue, and your credit file will not be impacted. If we need to remove any fees or charges that have automatically been applied, you will see this on your statement.

However, if you paid late or missed your required minimum payment, then any fees and or charges applied to your account will stand.
